Rotary Club of Madras Magnum approached us with a meaningful mission — to create bold, engaging and impactful visual communication through banner designs, event creatives and video content for The Magnum Carnival, an initiative focused on creating memorable experiences while supporting a meaningful cause for children. The event had a strong social purpose, but its story needed impactful visuals to connect with a wider audience.
Challenge
The challenge was to communicate the scale and purpose of the Magnum Carnival Season 8 in a way that was visually engaging while keeping the focus on its larger social impact.
The campaign needed to create a strong visual identity for the carnival, build excitement around the event, and effectively communicate the initiative to sponsors, partners, children, and the wider community.
A key moment was the official flag-off at Lok Bhavan, Chennai, where the Magnum Carnival was flagged off by the Hon'ble Governor of Tamil Nadu.
Strategy
We focused on creating visual communication that combined celebration, emotion, and purpose.
Our approach centered around three key ideas:
Impact - Every creative needed to communicate that the carnival was more than just a one-day event; it was an initiative creating meaningful experiences for children.
Energy - The banner designs and event creatives were developed to capture the excitement and scale of the Magnum Carnival.
Storytelling - We transformed the event experience into visual stories through banners and videos, allowing the audience to see the joy and impact created through the initiative.
For Season 8, the carnival brought 3,234 children to Vandalur Zoo, with the initiative designed to provide children with transportation, meals, entertainment, zoo entry, and a goody bag.
We also created a two of videos within a single day, capturing the atmosphere, participation, and purpose behind the initiative. These videos became a visual representation of the positive experience created for the children and the larger cause supported by the Rotary Club of Madras Magnum.
Results
3,234 children brought together for a memorable day at Vandalur Zoo.
High-visibility event branding for the Magnum Carnival Season 8 and its official flag-off.
